Cody Grindle

Cody Grindle is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Silicon Schools, helping our team and portfolio schools use AI and data to build stronger, more sustainable organizations. He comes to the role after 17 years at IDEA Public Schools, where he started as a 7th grade English teacher and rose to President of a $1.2 billion network serving 87,000 students. In between, he built IDEA’s software development team with funding from a $30 million federal Race to the Top-District grant and later led its technology organization as Chief Information Officer. Cody is a Teach For America alum and a graduate of Wittenberg University. He lives in Austin with his wife, Megan, their son, Gus, and two dogs.
